EXPERIENCE AFRICAN  MOUNTAINS

Reflecting the diversity of Lesotho’s landscapes, Afriski offers experiences to suit just about everybody, no matter what season it is and what you’re into. Summer is trails time: MTB, Enduro, hiking and altitude training. And when the snow falls, it’s time to strap on your skis or snowboard and head for the slopes or Kapoko Snow Park.

EXPERIENCES

The skiing was relatively good when you consider what it is (we came down from Europe). Their ski/snowboard gear is end-of-season stuff from I guess Europe. That's ok - god knows I know it takes huge amounts of CAPEX, effort and patience to get the infrastructure and kit down to Lesotho and up those mountains. And their stuff is very serviceable, so top marks for that.
The big nagative aspect were the drunks in the Sky Restaurant. Might be an idea to limit the Apres Ski to the Gondola Cafe? I was there with my 10y/o boy and the behaviour of some of the people there was a bit... much. Too many withdrawals at the lash machine...
Anywhow. The staff were crazy friendly and helpful, which was the stand-out part of our stay. Good fun for sure, but given the more adult environment doubt we'll go back.
